The Catalan Super Cup takes place every two years putting the two best teams from Catalonia against each other.
What is the Catalan Super Cup?
THE Supercopa de Catalunya was introduced in 2014 as a new edition to the Catalan championship.
It sees the region's best two sides from the previous season in La Liga go head-to-head to lift the trophy.
Since its introduction only Barcelona and Espanyol have been part of the competition - this could be set to change for the next Cup in 2020 with Girona success in La Liga so far this season.
