But he only found out he was not in the starting eleven when the Gunners chief named his team, before they went on to lose 2-1.

Bellerin is understood to believe he is being made a scapegoat for Arsenal’s dreadful run of form.
The 22-year-old wanted to leave the Emirates last summer to join old club Barcelona.
He is thought to have asked Wenger whether he could quit, but was told there was no chance.
The ex-Brentford loanee said: “It's so wrong for someone who claims to be a fan and their success is fed off a failure. How can that be a fan?”
