ARSENAL AT WAR

But he only found out he was not in the starting eleven when the Gunners chief named his team, before they went on to lose 2-1.

Calum Chambers was drafted in to play in his position, despite being part of the defence for the 3-0 Carabao Cup final loss to Manchester City.

Bellerin is understood to believe he is being made a scapegoat for Arsenal’s dreadful run of form.

The 22-year-old wanted to leave the Emirates last summer to join old club Barcelona.

He is thought to have asked Wenger whether he could quit, but was told there was no chance.

Bellerin was involved in a bust-up with Arsenal FanTV after criticising the loyalty of supporters who appear on the YouTube channel.

The ex-Brentford loanee said: “It's so wrong for someone who claims to be a fan and their success is fed off a failure. How can that be a fan?”
