N'GOLO KANTE was left out of the Chelsea squad to face Manchester City after fainting at the training ground, it has emerged.
The French midfielder suffered the frightening health scare last Friday, leaving his team-mates shocked and terrified he had suffered a heart problem.
The horrifying incident happened just two days before the 1-0 away loss at City yesterday.
It is understood Kante has been given the all-clear over any heart issues, and travelled with the squad to the Etihad, .
His health problems came just hours after Fiorentina captain Davide Astori tragically passed away in his hotel room.
A Chelsea doctor is thought to have arrived at the ex-Leicester star's aid after he slumped to one side in the Cobham dressing room.
He was sent to see a specialist for a series of cardiology tests after regaining consciousness.
The tests later came back all clear, and he was given the green light to face City.
But the 26-year-old felt unwell on Sunday morning, and Antonio Conte decided not to take a risk.

It is not known why Kante fainted, but last week's freezing temperatures are thought to have been a contributing factor.
He returned to training this morning, and is expected to make his return in the Premier League against Crystal Palace next weekend.
Conte said after the match: "It’s very difficult to come back from that but don’t forget we were missing N'Golo Kante who is a crucial player for us and our balance."
