ARSENE WENGER bizarrely confronted Pep Guardiola BEFORE kick-off between Arsenal and Manchester City.
As the teams went through their final stretches before the start of the Premier League game, the Gunners boss stopped Guardiola just outside the tunnel.
Guardiola looked bemused as Wenger muttered away, at one point laying his hands on his opposite number.
The as the Man City gaffer attempted to move on towards the away team's bench, Wenger went in the same direction when his dugout was the other way.
It led people on social media to guess just what was being said - and some of the suggestions are pretty hilarious.
And most people suggested the French boss was asking Guardiola to "go easy" on his team.
And it's fair to say once they went 3-0 up, that did actually happen.
Goals from Bernardo Silva, David Silva and Leroy Sane practically killed the game off at half-time.
The second 45 was a non-event, which left Guardiola somewhat irked in his post-match interviews.
But for Arsenal and in particular their under-pressure manager Wenger, the damage was well and truly done.
