ROMELU LUKAKU has called on the FA to introduce a seasonal Premier League ‘All-Star’ game after sitting court-side for an NBA game last night.

The Manchester United striker has revealed he would like to see the arrival of yearly North vs South matches following the success of the NBA’s East vs West clashes, and YOU can vote for your choices here.

Lukaku is a huge basketball fan and treated himself to tickets for the Brooklyn Nets’ 104-87 win over the Chicago Bulls, just a day after starring in Sunday’s crucial league win over Chelsea.

The striker scored one goal and assisted Jesse Lingard’s winner to give his side a huge advantage in the race for a top four finish.

But Lukaku also has ideas on how to improve the best competition in the world after asking the FA for their views on a match involving the country’s top players.

It would see stars playing for teams in the north of England face a side made up of aces from southern clubs, with all proceeds going to charity.

If the proposal follows NBA rules, it would see fans vote for each squad set-up – as well as the starting XIs.

Moreover, the respective sides would be managed by the best-performing managers in the country at the time – although they would not be allowed to coach two seasons in a row.

This year, the NBA decided to follow a new format which got rid of the East vs West style, instead picking two captains in LeBron James and Stephen Curry.

They were then given the chance to pick squads from the entire pool of players chosen by supporters, with Team LeBron emerging victorious by just three points in an exciting 148-145 battle earlier this month.
