Romanian side come up with genius way of keeping players warm during match… by wearing socks on their ARMS

Sepsi travelled to the Romanian capital for their league clash against Steaua Bucharest but weren't prepared for the cold snap sweeping across Europe

A TEAM in Romania conjured up an idea to keep warm in the gruelling conditions... by using socks for sleeves.

Temperatures in the capital Bucharest have plunged to a ridiculous -8C as Europe braces itself for a cold snap.

And Sepsi appeared to have found some sort of makeshift solution to the problem.

The Romanian Premier League side headed to Steaua Bucharest on Sunday with the kit man obviously forgetting to pack long sleeve shirts.

So players decided to compromise and cut holes in spare socks so they can keep their arms warm.

It failed to inspire them to victory, crashing to a 2-0 defeat after conceding two goals in the second half.

Scottish hard man Scott Brown would have laughed in the faces of their players after he opted to wear just a t-shirt when walking the streets of Russia last week.

Celtic headed to Saint Petersburg for their Europa League clash where temperatures dropped to -11C.

If Brown could brace the cold breeze then fellow Scot Nick Ross wouldn't have had such a problem.

The former Dundee man moved to Sepsi earlier this month.
