Arsenal’s cars: Petr Cech and Hector Bellerin drive eco-friendly Teslas while other Gunners stars prefer gas guzzling Ferraris and Porsches
Some Gunners stars care about the environment, driving planet-friendly electric cars but others just didn't get the memo
THEIR Premier League rivals will be green with envy.
Being a top footballer pays you top whack, so it’s no wonder these Arsenal players can shell out expensive hi-tech Teslas.
Car-mad record buy Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang owns a fleet of swanky motors, so it was no surprise to see him pull up to training in a flash Porsche Panamera, wrapped by Techart.
While January signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan has been earning decent wages for years, so he drives a Lamborghini Aventador.
But it was eco-warriors Petr Cech and Hector Bellerin who caught our attention – opting for supposedly environmentally friendly electric motors as they arrived at London Colney.
Aubameyang’s gorgeous Porsche, which is chrome-wrapped, would’ve set him back around £140k.
BELL OF THE BALL Arsenal star Hector Bellerin loves to wear the latest fashion: here’s how to dress like him but at a fraction of the cost
While Mkhitaryan’s Lamborghini Aventador is worth an eye-watering £271,146… although that is only a month’s worth of wages for the Armenian.
Cech’s Tesla Model X starts at £74,530 and Bellerin’s Tesla Model S retails for a respectable £66,730 – substantially less than the traditional motors.
Plus, they must make a killing on savings on petrol. And with a range of around 300 miles on a single charge, they don’t have to worry about being stranded on the roadside.
Meanwhile, first team stars Danny Welbeck, Rob Holding, Nacho Monreal and Calum Chambers all prefer Range Rovers.
BERN-ING RUBBER Real Madrid stars and their cars: Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Luca Modric all arrive for training in flashy motors… while team-mates drive club sponsored Audis

Nick Francis, Sun on Sunday's Motoring Editor says:
IT would be nice to think footballers have adopted Tesla as the must-have brand because they care about Johnny Polar Bear and his rapidly melting home. But that’s unlikely to be the reason. And it’s not because the government give you £4,500 off the purchase of an electric car. It’s because Teslas have become the ultimate status symbol. Crowded waiting lists have made cars like the Tesla Model S incredibly sought after. It’s not just a case of having the £115,000 to buy one – even if you pay today it will be June, earliest, before you get your car. That creates an allure in circles where competition is stiff to have the latest and greatest motor.Added to that, the most powerful version of the flagship Model S – the P100D – can do 0-60mph in an eye-watering 2.5 seconds. That’s as fast as you can get for a road going car.Long waiting lists, jaw dropping performance and masterful PR stunts from Elon Musk – such as putting a car in space – all mean a Tesla is the coolest car to have in the training ground carpark.
The latter drives the bespoke Aspire range that comes with a mega £130k price tag that’ll have your eyes watering.
Midfielders Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey favours Audis, with the Welsh star opting for a RS3 which costs around £44, 190.
And senior pros Per Mertesacker, Alexandre Lacazette and Granit Xhaka like German engineering – owning Mercedes.
But it’s hat’s off to Petr and Hector for bucking the trend.
