David Ginola becomes a dad again aged 51 just two years after Tottenham and Newcastle legend almost died

TOTTENHAM and Newcastle legend David Ginola has revealed he is "ecstatic" after becoming father to a baby girl.

The Frenchman revealed the news late on Tuesday night and it comes just two years after he had a major cardiac arrest.

Ginola, 51, has been dating model Maeva Denat - who is 22 years his junior - after vowing to live his life to the full following the heart attack ordeal.

He admitted afterwards he has a genetic predisposition towards heart problems, but that his love of good wine and smoking habit have not helped.

Ginola already has two children, Andrea and Carla, who are both in their mid-20s, from his previous marriage to Coraline.

The pair broke up following his cardiac arrest and she dropped her married name soon after.

However, Ginola is most infamous in France for his over-hit cross in 1993 that looped over the head of Eric Cantona against Bulgaria.

The unfancied eastern Europeans launched a lightning quick counter attack to score at the other end through Emil Kostadinov and qualify for the 1994 World Cup at the expense of Gerard Houllier's team.
