Villarreal ace Ruben Semedo ‘arrested after tying up and assaulting man inside home’

VILLARREAL defender Ruben Semedo has been arrested after being accused of holding someone against their will inside his home.
The alleged victim claims he was tied up, beaten and held by Semedo and two other men in his villa, according to reports in Spain.
The former Sporting Lisbon defender, 23, signed for the La Liga side last summer and has had a torrid time with injury this season.
But now he is in hot water after being taken into custody in the early hours of Tuesday for the alleged incident which took place on February 12.
claim the incident was violent and that the alleged victim, a man, was locked in a bedroom.
And the other men reportedly took the key to the victim's apartment in order to "rob money or get something that could have held them responsible for another offence."

The victim had bruises on several parts of his body and an ankle injury that left him on a crutch and he has reportedly claimed one of the attackers shot a gun near him to intimidate him.
Police officers were photographed emerging from Semedo's home after a search of the property in Betera, Valencia.
Semedo was arrested in November for an altercation in a night club and the trial is still yet to take place.
The Portugal under-21 international has had a frustrating time with a series of injuries this season.
He picked up a thigh injury in September, which kept him out till Villarreal's clash with Barcelona on December 10.
But he then suffered a setback and has been off the pitch ever since.
