BOOKIES have slashed the odds on Gareth Bale making a sensational return to Tottenham from Real Madrid this summer.
The Welsh winger left Spurs in 2013 for the Spanish giants in a then world record £89m deal.
But a flurry of bets overnight have seen Paddy Power cut his price from 12-1 down to 5-2.
The Irish bookmaker was put on alert after unusual betting patterns and timings.
A Paddy Power spokesman said: "Usually, Harry Kane is the man Tottenham look to for a Bale out, but this summer, Daniel Levy has his own extraction mission.
"A romantic return to Spurs, in their new stadium, would be the stuff of Hollywood for Bale. Until United or City offer him a million a week."
