Man City boss Pep Guardiola hints that he will move again for Leicester star Riyad Mahrez in the summer
Algerian forward is said to be 'depressed' at not getting his move on deadline day
PEP GUARDIOLA has hinted that he will make another move for Riyad Mahrez in the summer.
Manchester City were keen to sign the Algerian forward on deadline day - but backed out when Leicester asked for £60million cash PLUS a Man City player worth £30m.
The move fizzling out has apparently left Mahrez furious and "depressed", especially as fellow title winners N'Golo Kante and Danny Drinkwater have both left the club.
But speaking after the 3-0 win over West Brom, which moves Man City 15 points clear at the top, Pep suggested that the chase was not done just yet.
He said: "He's a Leicester player.
"Everybody knows we were trying but we cannot afford, in this moment, this amount of what they are asking. I understand perfectly.
"We tried to do it in the summertime, we tried to do it now, but like summer, they locked the door and we can go to the summer and holidays.
"It was not possible. With [Aymeric] Laporte yes, with the other one no.
"We are going to see what happens in the summer."
Mahrez was left out of the Leicester squad for the 2-1 defeat at Everton and has apparently upset team-mates with his desperation to leave the King Power Stadium.
A 'friend' of Mahrez told Sky Sports: "Riyad is very depressed over the events of the last two days.
