PETR CECH held his hands up to his Swansea clanger.
The Arsenal keeper came under stick from fans for gifting the Swans their second goal in the 3-1 defeat at the Liberty Stadium.
But he assured supporters he is as frustrated as them.
Cech tweeted: "Although mistakes are part of the game I always expect 100 per cent from myself and I'm not happy with the one I made today... back to work tomorrow!"
Cech scuffed a clearance and passed the ball straight to Jordan Ayew, who buried from inside the box.
One frustrated fan replied: "It p***es me off that you are such a nice and polite guy, don't apologise so I can keep hating you ffs."
But others were not so forgiving and even encouraged Cech to retire.
Another user wrote: "What kind of apology is this?"
Cech's gaffe was not the only sour point of the match as Sam Clucas scored a double to down the Gunners.
Arsene Wenger blamed his defence for the poor result.
And the Frenchman refused to even discuss Cech's howler.
He said: "I felt defensively we were very poor and made big mistakes. It's better not to talk about the second or third goals.
"Swansea were sharp, disciplined and hungry. Unfortunately I believe we were not good enough, I believe we were not disciplined enough."
