Chelsea defender David Luiz ‘offered to Arsenal in swap deal for Olivier Giroud’
Reports claim Luiz and Giroud's swap would then allow Michy Batshuayi to go to Dortmund for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's Gunners move
CHELSEA will offer David Luiz to Arsenal in exchange for Olivier Giroud, according to reports.
And that swap deal is part of a web of moves that will ultimately allow Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to complete his transfer to the Emirates, say the Daily Star.
They say that if Giroud does complete a move to the Blues, then that will allow Michy Batshuayi to switch to Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund.
That in turn will free up Aubameyang to finalise his move to Arsene Wenger's side.
To make matters more complicated, Dortmund are also interested in Giroud - but Batshuayi remains their first choice.
Conte said: "If you see our squad we don’t have three, four or five strikers, we have two — Morata and Batshuayi.
"I don’t know what happens. But when you play in the Premier League, Champions League and the FA Cup three strikers is the minimum."
Wenger was competing with Manchester City for West Brom's Jonny Evans but it is thought both clubs have been put off by his £25million fee.
That has led the Frenchman to target Brazilian Luiz, 30, currently on his second stint at Stamford Bridge.
Wenger is said to value Luiz at around £15m while Chelsea see Giroud as not being worth a penny more than £30m.
