Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang starts for Borussia Dormund against Freiburg amid transfer speculation
Gunners chiefs remain in Germany as they attempt to thrash out a deal for the Gabon star after having two bids rejected
PIERRE-EMERICK AUBAMEYANG will line up for Borussia Dortmund against Freiburg today as speculation continues over his future.
The 28-year-old starts upfront as the Bundesliga club aim to get back to winning way, after three game without a win.
The Gabon international has been linked with a move to Arsenal throughout the transfer window, with the Gunners desperate to add another striker to their ranks this month after Alexis Sanchez moved to Old Trafford.
Arsenal chief Ivan Gazidis has been in Dortmund looking to thrash out a deal before next Wednesday’s deadline.
However, two bids for the 28-year-old forward have been rejected with the Premier League side way short of the £60million valuation as the Germans prepare to go to the wire to get what they want.
Dortmund managing director Hans-Joachim Watzke and sporting director Michael Zorc have suggested the Gabon striker’s time in Dortmund has now ended and they should “break up”.
