WEST HAM could be set to lose Javier Hernandez after news the Mexican striker has instructed his agent to look for another club.

The former Manchester United forward has found the net five times for West Ham this season, but has found form and consistency hard to come by under new boss David Moyes.

Scottish manager Moyes, who also managed Chicharito at Old Trafford, has preferred Andy Carroll and Marko Arnautovic in the forward areas in recent weeks.

In fact, Hernandez has started only one match since Moyes took over in November and he is keen for first-team football ahead of the World Cup.

And the Little Pea has had fewer chances to prove himself, having not played an entire 90 minutes since October.

His goals and confidence have clearly dried up under Moyes, while that of the rest of the squad appears to have gone in the opposite direction.

The ex-Bayer Leverkusen striker has instructed his representatives to send out feelers to other clubs.

The 29-year-old joined from the Bundesliga club in July last year for £16million, but has seemed out of sync with the rest of the West Ham team at times.

West Ham 1-1 Bournemouth: Javier Hernandez scores late on against Eddie Howe's side to earn fortunate point

"Our primary focus is a club in which [Chicharito] can play the most games possible. That's the most important.

"Javier has asked personally for it.

"He's commented, stated and demanded that we look for a club that really needs a player with his characteristics because what he wants is to play and play and play."
