PAUL POGBA is preparing to greet the arrival of Alexis Sanchez at Manchester United by demanding the club double his wages.
Sanchez is in Manchester for a medical before completing his straight swap move from Arsenal which will see Henrikh Mkhitaryan move in the opposite direction.
The Chile star is understood to have agreed a £400,000-a-week deal with United that will see him become the highest paid player in Britain.
And the claim Pogba will now got to his bosses and tell them he wants his wages to match the money being shelled out to Sanchez.
In signing 29-year-old Sanchez, United have smashed their wage structure which had previously seen Pogba the highest paid on £200,000-a-week.
The French midfielder had agreed his £10m-a-year package when he re-joined United in an £89m then world record deal from Juventus 18 months ago.
Since then, transfer fees and wages have rocketed around Europe, and now Pogba has fallen behind some of the world's best players in terms of salary.
That has not gone un-noticed by the 24-year-old's agent Mino Raoilo, known to be one of the toughest deal-makers in football.

Raiola has been at the heart of the deal which has seen Sanchez and Mkhitaryan swap clubs, as he also represents the Armenian.
He is acutely aware of the kind of figures that now appear to be considered acceptable by United in terms of wages for their best players.

And it is claimed he will go straight back to the Old Trafford board to demand talks are opened over a new deal for Pogba.
He will claim that Pogba's importance to the side and status as one of the top players in the world deserves to be recognised in his pay packet.
The midfielder's current contract still has a further three years to run, and United will know there is no major rush to renegotiate.
But they will also be anxious to ensure the France star does not start considering his options by moving elsewhere, with Jose Mourinho seeing him as a vital part of his future plans for the club.
Sanchez is expected to undergo a medical today with Mkhitaryan arriving in London last night ahead of his own health check with the Gunners.
The deal, which does not involve any money being paid by either club, is expected to be completed on Monday.
