Kevin De Bruyne ‘agrees new six-year Manchester City deal’ worth £260,000-a-week

KEVIN DE BRUYNE has reportedly agreed a new long-term contract at the Etihad Stadium.
The midfielder has emerged as a key player for Man City this season and the club have long wanted to ink him to an extension.
The Belgian still has three-and-a-half years remaining on his current contract but Pep Guardiola wants to secure the 26-year-old's services.
De Bruyne has agreed a fresh six-year deal worth around £200,000 a week plus an additional £60,000 in image rights, according to .
The negotiation is said to be concluded with only formal paperwork to be concluded by lawyers.
So far this season De Bruyne has contributed eight goals and a dozen assists during his 31 total appearances.
Since his £55million arrival from Wolfsburg in August 2015, the Belgium international has netted a total 31 times in 120 appearances.
City have already confirmed Fernandinho and central defender Nicolas Otamendi have committed their futures to the club after inking new deals for the pair.
Fernandinho signed a new two-year deal on Friday while Otamendi's new contract ties him to the club until 2022.
Talks with Gabriel Jesus have been ongoing as Guardiola confirmed his team is not in need of another striker this month after pulling out of the race for Alexis Sanchez.
The Spanish manager insists Jesus and Sergio Aguero are adequate for the remaining four months, despite Jesus returning from a knee injury.
Guardiola said: "We do not need another one in that position. Other players can play there in different circumstances.
"To buy a player who can only play there: that is not going to happen."
