Henrikh Mkhitaryan arrives at Manchester United training ground… but Arsenal move still expected to be sealed today
HENRIKH MKHITARYAN is back at work at Carrington, with his transfer to Arsenal due to be sealed in the next 24 hours.
The Armenian is due to become part of a player-plus-cash deal between the Gunners and Manchester United.
That's even though he appeared to be posing in a farewell photo on Instagram just yesterday, in an image widely shared by United's players.
But fans hoping that he would be in North London already were left disappointed as the 28-year-old pulled up to the AON Training Complex in his Mercedes 4x4.
Mkhitaryan's agent Mino Raiola has been in London to thrash out the transfer with the deal set to be completed in the coming days.
Alexis Sanchez has, meanwhile, been training with the Gunners youth teams as the sides get ready for their weekend fixtures.
Neither player will be able to play in this weekend's Premier League fixtures for their new clubs, after the noon Friday deadline passed in order to register them in time.
United are due to face Burnley at Turf Moor while Arsenal host Crystal Palace - both at 3pm on Saturday.

Mkhitaryan's last appearance for United is likely to be their 2-0 FA Cup win over Derby County, where he played 45 minutes.
But it was a few days earlier in the Red Devils' tame 0-0 draw against Southampton that fans started to get on his back and his future looked increasingly uncertain.
Arsenal are also looking to secure a deal for wantaway Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The Gabon international has been suspended by his club in recent weeks for a third time this season and his father and agent Yaya has been in London for talks with the Gunners.
