Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet wanted by Italian giants Napoli to replace Pepe Reina
Former Reds stopper has been error-prone in Serie A this campaign and Maurizio Sarri is targeting his Anfield successor
NAPOLI are considering a move for Simon Mignolet as they look to replace Pepe Reina, according to reports in Italy.
The former Liverpool stopper's form has rapidly declined this season in Italy, and Maurizio Sarri is looking for someone more reliable.
But despite Mignolet's patchy form for Liverpool, report Napoli are targeting him.
Reina was shown the door at Anfield by former boss Brendan Rodgers and signed for Rafa Benitez at the San Paolo.
He soon became a fan-favourite and a steady pair of hands as Napoli challenged for the Serie A title.
However, this season, his form has declined rapidly, and Sarri is keen on someone younger.

Mignolet, too, has struggled this season as Klopp rotates the Belgian with Loris Karius, who hasn't fared much better.
The German wants to bring in a more reliable goalkeeper and is targeting Atletico Madrid stopper Jan Oblak.
Mignolet, 29, wants to be playing more regularly and is not happy with the rotation policy at the club.
Furthermore, he wants Champions League football, but Klopp selects Karius for European matches.
