Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho brilliantly trolled by Italian media by signing a Red Devils jersey with an unsuspected name on the back
United boss has been caught up in a whirlwind feud with Chelsea boss Antonio Conte
MANCHESTER UNITED boss Jose Mourinho was brilliantly trolled by Italian media and fell for the trick hook, line and sinker.
The Portuguese boss has been caught up in a furious spat with Chelsea manager Antonio Conte in recent weeks with both high-profile bosses desperate to have the final word.
Italian Conte labelled Mourinho “senile” and a “little man” after the Manchester United chief suggested some managers behave like “clowns” on the sideline.
And reporters from Italian TV are obviously in the corner of their former national manager after this stunt.
As Mourinho arrived at Manchester's Lowry Hotel where he continues to stay, the 54-year-old was ambushed by the reporters and was asked a number of questions.
The Special One was more than happy to give his answers but it was what happened next that left Mourinho with an embarrassed grin on his face.
Reporters asked Mourinho whether he would sign a Manchester United shirt in which he duly obliged.
But completely oblivious to the situation, the Red Devils jersey had "Antonio Conte 1" written on the back.
AL BE OFF, THEN Alexis Sanchez spotted out and about for the first time in a week… but is the Arsenal star in North London or Manchester ahead of United move?
Mourinho did see the funny side and laughed off the joke before heading inside the hotel.
The reporters were more than happy with their accomplishments and posed with the United shirt outside the 5* complex.
