Alexis Sanchez spotted out and about for the first time in a week… but is the Arsenal star in North London or Manchester ahead of United move?
ALEXIS SANCHEZ has been spotted out and about for the first time in a week as he headed to the barbers for a fresh trim on Wednesday.
The Chilean forward, 29, was last seen in Arsenal's 0-0 draw with Chelsea in the Carabao Cup - a week ago to the day.
While speculation surrounding Sanchez's future has been rife all season long, it has hotted up in the past seven days since a proposed £60million move to Manchester City fell apart.
The Gunners forward now looks set to head to the red half of Manchester, with United boss Jose Mourinho launching an 11th-hour swoop.
Using the dangling bait of outcast Henrikh Mkhitaryan, the Special One now looks set to land his man in a straight player-for-player swap - with Sanchez reportedly agreeing a four-year, £350,000-a-week after tax contract, only waiting on the Armenian to conclude a deal.
But despite seemingly now having landed his move away from the Emirates, Sanchez still appeared glum as he trudged to get his hair cut.
Wearing a black pair of socks and sandals, the 119-cap Chile international did briefly stop to pose for a selfie with a fan... but even then he could barely muster a smile.
Sanchez was also collared by Arsenal Fan TV regulars Troopz and Mr DT at the barbers in Mill Hill and managed to get a snap with him.
STRIKE IT RICH? Sanchez, Aubameyang, Martial and Malcom all involved in bonkers transfer saga… but who rules the roost?
In a posting on Twitter, Mr DT wrote: "Alexis is getting his hair cut in Mill Hill and Troopz is outside waiting for him.
"And just like he did when he met Wenger, he bottled it.........."
With his future still very much shrouded in mystery, it's understandable Sanchez had other things on his mind.
Even his play on the pitch this season has seemed somewhat lethargic by his high standards, scoring just eight times in 24 games in all competitions for Arsenal.
In fact, reports suggest even Sanchez's Gunners team-mates now want him out - hoping he leaves before this weekend's Premier League clash with Crystal Palace.
As well as Manchester City and United, it was reported by Sky Sports' Guillem Balague today that a third, unknown team - possibly from Spain - are aiming to move for the star.
However, it may well be just a two-horse race at this stage, as City chief Pep Guardiola feared signing Sanchez would be his "Asprilla moment".
Now, whoever it be, boss Arsene Wenger has all-but resigned himself to losing Sanchez and is now turning his attention elsewhere.
As well as chasing Borussia Dortmund superstar Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang - desperate for a move to the Premier League - Wenger is also eyeing a deal for Bordeaux's Malcom and Brazilian youngster Cristian Pavon.
With the wheels on his deal to Man United very much in motion, it could be that Sanchez has enjoyed his last-ever haircut in North London...
