Henrikh Mkhitaryan: Manchester United fans desperate for Red Devils midfielder to leave club to make way for Alexis Sanchez

MANCHESTER UNITED fans are BEGGING Henrikh Mkhitaryan to leave the club to make room for Alexis Sanchez.

The 28-year-old is being hounded by Red Devils supporters on social media, with the Armenian international reluctant to sign for the Gunners in a swap deal.

Sanchez has reportedly already agreed terms on a move to Old Trafford, but the deal hinges on whether Mkhitaryan is willing to link up with Arsene Wenger's men.

His agent Mino Raiola said: "Manchester United are not going to sign Sanchez unless Mkhi agrees to join Arsenal.

"Mkhi is going to do what is best for him. He has two-and-a-half years left on his contract, so it's his decision."

While BBC journalist David Ornstein said in a statement: "Mkhitaryan is believed to still be deliberating over the move and is in no rush to make a final decision.

";Although if he does accept the offer then the transfer can happen quickly."

The fact that the ex-Borussia Dortmund star is stalling over a move to Arsenal has infuriated United fans, who are demanding he leaves the club.

He joined the club in the summer of 2016 for a fee believed to be in the region of £30million, and banged in 11 goals in 41 games in his first season - helping his side win the EFL Cup and Europa League.

But he has become a bit-part player under Jose Mourinho this campaign, and has netted just once in the Premier League in 15 games.
