Arsenal ace Mesut Ozil is the third most creative player in Europe this season… with ex-West Ham star Dimitri Payet the shock No1
ARSENAL star Mesut Ozil is officially the third-best creator in all of Europe's Big Five leagues this season.
The Gunners playmaker, 29, is averaging a remarkable 3.44 chances created per game, but is out of contract in the summer.
Ozil is now expected to follow team-mate Alexis Sanchez out of the Emirates, with Manchester United the expected destination for both players.
However, the stats suggest Arsene Wenger should be fighting tooth-and-nail to keep hold of his German midfield maestro.
After all, his tally of 3.44 chances set-up per match is only bettered by TWO players in the Premier League, Bundesliga, La Liga, Serie A and Ligue 1 combined.
Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar ranks No2 in Europe with a staggering tally of 3.86 chances laid-on per appearance.
That tally is a painfully close 0.01 behind Europe's top creator... former West Ham misfit Dimitri Payet (3.87).
Meanwhile, another Premier League star comes in at No4, as Chelsea ace Cesc Fabregas has averaged 3.15 chances created per game this season.
STRIKE IT RICH? Sanchez, Aubameyang, Martial and Malcom all involved in bonkers transfer saga… but who rules the roost?
Antonio Candreva (3.1) comes in fifth, while Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne (3) is the only other player to average three or more chances per outing.
Sought-after Philipp Max (2.94) ranks seventh, ahead of Mathieu Dossevi (2.87).
