Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp swears live on TV interview as he delights in ending Manchester City’s 22-game unbeaten run
German was over the moon after putting an end to City's unbeaten 22-game streak in the league
JURGEN KLOPP has revealed his delight at ending Pep Guardiola’s 22-game unbeaten run with Manchester City, exclaiming live on air: “What the f**k was that?!”
And the Liverpool boss also blasted critics taking aim at his leaky defence, adding: “Blow up my boots!”
Klopp was on cloud nine after masterminding a breathless 4-3 win over the title favourites at Anfield this afternoon.
A second-half blitz saw Liverpool race into a 4-1 lead before City grabbed two late goals to set up a nervy ending.
Loris Karius was heavily criticised at half-time by Sky Sports pundits Graeme Souness and Shay Given after his mistake gave City a vital equaliser.
But Klopp didn't care about the lack of a clean sheet, insisting Premier League fans had been treated to a real treat of a spectacle.
And after a four-letter slip-up during an interview with US outlet NBC, leading Klopp to joke he "thought in America it was OK (to swear)", the German told BBC Sport: “You can watch it as a manager or as a football fan and I prefer to do that – wow!
"What a game! Two teams, full throttle. This was a historical game you will talk about in 20 years because it looks like City will not lose another one this year.

“People watched this game all over the world and this is why – take your heart, throw it on the pitch and play like this, both teams.
“We played, I don’t know which level, caused them problems like hell. I was not scared at the end, not that I didn’t think we could concede a fourth, I have known my boys long enough now, it was so intense.
“If you combine quality with attitude you see a game like this. I really loved it. You will find someone who wants to talk about defending, no clean sheet, but he can blow up my boots!”
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was equally enthused, adding: “It turned out a bit too frantic for my liking! To have conceded and only drew at the end would have been a big loss so I’m really proud of the boys.
“The type of football we play you get chances and it’s up to the lads to stick them away. When we get the press right and we’re winning the ball back with the Anfield crowd urging us on, it really gets us going.
“It’s not the first time we’ve ran riot for five or 10 minutes and we’ve done it again. Three points was what we needed and we got it.”
