Man City ‘in talks with Arsenal’ over signing Alexis Sanchez in the January transfer window
Gunners are holding out for £35m for wantaway Chilean but Etihad club reckon they can slash £10m off that fee
MANCHESTER CITY are in talks with Arsenal over the transfer of Alexis Sanchez, according to reports.
The Sun revealed how Etihad boss Pep Guardiola missed out on Virgil van Dijk after prioritising a move for the Chilean.
And according to , City are now negotiating a fee with the Gunners.
Arsenal are demanding around £35million to sign Sanchez, 29, who is out of contract in the summer.
City reportedly will not meet that fee but are confident of landing Sanchez for as little as £25m this window.
Arsenal were close to selling in the summer but spent too long dragging out a deadline day deal.
Apparently there are concerns the Gunners could repeat this strategy.
City are desperate to sign another striker after Gabriel Jesus was ruled out with knee ligament damage.

Sergio Aguero is their only out-and-out forward and with Guardiola's side on for a possible quadruple, the Spaniard wants more firepower.
Sanchez was left out of Arsenal's shock FA Cup loss at Nottingham Forest meaning he would be eligible to feature in the competition for City.

And as he has not played in the Champions League this season, Uefa regulations would allow him to take part in City's campaign.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger astonishingly admitted that Sanchez's future was "not my problem".
He said: "I don’t know what is going on in his head and whether he is with us short term or long term.
"I am not a psychologist.”
Speaking before the Gunners' 1-1 draw at West Brom, the Frenchman added: “From Monday he is free to go where he wants if it’s a foreign club — but that’s not my problem.
“My problem is just about trying to win the game at West Brom.”
