INTER MILAN and Italy legend Antonio Valentin Angelillo has died in hospital, aged 80-years-old.
Argentina-born forward passed away in a Siena hospital surrounded by family, following a 40-year career in playing and management.
Angelillo died on Friday night, with his family only just revealing the news of his tragic death.
The striker played for Inter Milan, Roma, AC Milan, Lecco and Genoa in Italy, as well as Racing and Boca Juniors in his native Argentina.
Angelillo even played 11 times for the South American nation between 1955 and 1957 - scoring 11 times.
He officially switched allegiance to Italy in 1960 - after three years in Europe - and went on to score once in two games.
Following a 14-year professional career, where the versatile forward scored well over 100 goals, Angelillo went into management.
In fact, the Buenos Aires-born star managed 15 teams - including a national stint with Morocco - between 1969 and 1992.

Most recently, Angelillo was in charge of Italian minnows Torres - currently in Serie D.
Other teams managed by the Argentine-Italian include Rimini, Brecia, Reggina, Pescara and Palermo.
