Alan Shearer tells Liverpool fans who abused his family on Twitter over penalty opinion to f*** off
Newcastle legend said Adam Lallana was not fouled in the box by Everton's Mason Holgate, sparking a load of abuse
ALAN SHEARER has told the Liverpool fans abusing his family to "f*** off" after they disagreed with the BBC pundit's opinion on a penalty in the Merseyside derby.
Adam Lallana went down easily under some light contact from Everton defender Mason Holgate, with James Milner stepping up to fire home.
Everton were furious with the decision from referee Bobby Madley and the Blackburn and Newcastle legend sided with the Toffees in the Match of the Day studio.
Shearer pointed to the penalty given against Liverpool in the previous Merseyside derby when Dejan Lovren was penalised for a push on Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
The former England captain said: "Jurgen Klopp was moaning about the soft penalty in the last derby match and if he thought that was soft then this is soft.
"Football is a contact sport, you can touch someone without it being a penalty."
Shearer received a barrage of abuse for his views but refused to take the personal insults lying down.
The Premier League's record scorer said: "For all the @LFC fans currently hurling personal abuse at me, my wife and kids because I happen to disagree with your opinion about the penalty decision, you do know you won don't you?
"PS So f**k off!"

And he followed it up with a reply to another irate Liverpool fan, saying: “I am currently sitting with two @LFC fans who didn't think it was a pen.
“I played football at different levels for 30 years. You may disagree with my opinion but I am entitled to it. Just because you disagree doesn't make me a hypocrite.
“One was a pen, one wasn't. Get over it.”
