SUNDERLAND'S Championship survival hopes have been dealt a major blow with their top scorer Lewis Grabban returning to Bournemouth.

The striker, 29, was on a season-long loan with the rock-bottom Black Cats.

He had bagged 12 goals for them in 19 league games despite their poor form.

But Bournemouth tonight triggered a recall clause in Grabban's Sunderland deal.

That means they can cash in on him this transfer window.

Championship leaders Wolves are among the clubs who want to sign the hitman on a permanent basis.
