Liverpool star Emre Can to leave after agreeing £85,000-a-week pre-contract with Juventus for summer
German midfielder had been in talks with Serie A giants for some time and appears to have have finally struck deal
EMRE CAN will leave Liverpool in the summer after agreeing a £85,000-a-week pre-contract with Juventus, according to reports.
The German midfielder can leave Liverpool on a free at the end of the season.
The two parties had been in advanced talks for some time — a January move for a fee remaining a possibility.
With Philippe Coutinho seemingly on his way to Barcelona, Liverpool had hoped they could convince Can to sign a new contract.
But he will move to Juventus at the end of the campaign.
Can joined Liverpool from Bayer Leverkusen in 2014 and has made 154 appearances, scoring 16 goals.
He will become the latest in a long line of top talents Juventus have snapped up on a free transfer.
Most recently, they got Dani Alves from Barcelona, and Sami Khedira from Real Madrid after his contract had expired.
While Andrea Pirlo enjoyed arguably the best years of his career in Turin after joining on a free from AC Milan — and they famously signed a young Paul Pogba from Manchester United in 2012.
