PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN could be set to offload duo Lucas Moura and Hatem Ben Arfa this month.

Both look to surplus to requirements as PSG look to balance the books ahead of Kylian Mbappe’s permanent £166million switch from Monaco this summer.

Moura has fallen down the pecking order this season after Mbappe’s arrival.

The 25-year-old Brazilian has not started a game for the Ligue 1 leaders with Manchester United monitoring his situation.

Ben Arfa moved to Paris on free transfer from Nice in 2016 and has been left to rot in the reserves playing in the fourth tier of French football after refusing to leave.

The 30-year-old has been linked with a move to Leicester City to link up with his old Nice boss Claude Puel at the King Power stadium.

PSG boss Unai Emery hinted to unwanted pair could be allowed to leave the French capital this month.

The PSG boss defended the club landing teenage sensation Mbappe last summer and insisted the Qatar owner’s huge outlay on players like Neymar is good for French football.

He added: “A few years ago, French players like Kylian Mbappé went to Real Madrid or Barcelona, or to England.

“This club is a new club, born in 1970 and has won six times the championship, once with Artur Jorge, Gérard Houllier then Carlo Ancelotti and three times with Laurent Blanc.

“I believe we are at a time when this team has great credibility in France, in the world, and where the best players want to come.”
