Ex-Manchester United star Diego Forlan joins Hong Kong side Kitchee SC aged 38
Uruguayan makes tenth transfer of career, having taken 12 months out following brief spell with Mumbai City in India
DIEGO FORLAN has joined Hong Kong outfit Kitchee SC at the age of 38.
The former Manchester United striker has completed a transfer for the tenth time in his career, having taken a year out following a spell at Mumbai City in India.
Kitchee are the reigning champions in Hong Kong and Forlan has been signed to help them in their debut Asian Champions League campaign.
He will become the league's most high-profile signing since former United team-mate Nicky Butt joined South China in 2010.
The Uruguayan has enjoyed an impressive career, playing in the Premier League, Serie A and La Liga.
He joined United in 2002 and took a while to get going before becoming a cult hero with his matchwinning brace at Anfield.

Forlan left Old Trafford to join Villarreal in 2004 a was Europe's leading marksman in his debut campaign, before helping the Yellow Submarine reach the Champions League semi-finals in 2006.
His performances earned him a move to Atletico Madrid, where he once again won the European Golden Shoe.

But it was his performance at the 2010 World Cup where he was named Player of the Tournament, that is undoubtedly his career highlight.
After Atletico, he joined Inter Milan in 2011 before moving to Brazil with Internacional, Japan with Cerezo Osaka, Uruguay with Penarol and then Mumbai.
