Arsenal ace Theo Walcott wanted by Italian giants AC Milan with Southampton also eyeing deal
THEO WALCOTT has offered himself to AC Milan, according to reports in Italy.
The winger has struggled to nail down a place in the Arsenal team this season and his World Cup hopes hang by a thread.
Southampton and Everton are among the Premier League sides willing to take a punt on Walcott.
But report he would be keen a loan move to Milan.
One of the potential sticking points over a move to the San Siro would be his ineligibility to feature in Europe, having already played for the Gunners in the Europa League.
At 28, Walcott still feels he has a lot to offer — and new a start in Italy could provide him with that platform he has been seeking.
One of the issues which usually hamper English players who move abroad is learning the language.
But Walcott would have an advantage in that regard at Milan as manager Gennaro Gattuso speaks English following a brief spell at Rangers early in his career.

Walcott joined Arsenal from Southampton at the age of 16 in 2006 and was regarded as one of the brightest prospects in English football.
However, he has failed to really develop into the player many hoped he would and is unlikely to have a future a starter at the Emirates.
