RANGERS battled their way to a hard-earned point at Celtic Park as Graeme Murty earned his second draw against the champions.
Both sides had the chances to win the game but in a rip-roaring match, neither could make the decisive breakthrough.
Alfredo Morelos had three golden opportunities to win the game for Gers but just couldn't find a way past Craig Gordon.
For the Hoops, Scott Sinclair also had three good chances, with the winger pulling the best of them just wide of the post seconds before half-time.
The draw means Brendan Rodgers' men go into the winter shutdown eleven points ahead of their derby rivals.
But after an up-and-down period since taking the reins from Pedro Caixinha, Murty will have been encouraged by the fight shown by his men.
Rangers had a great chance to take the lead in the sixth minute.
Daniel Candeias forced a mistake from Mikael Lustig at the back and Josh Windass released Alfredo Morelos in the right inside channel.
The striker fired across goal, only to be denied by Gordon, while Lustig cleared the rebound.
Celtic were next to go close.
