Harry Kane is only the Premier League’s joint 35th best paid player despite incredible form for Tottenham

HARRY KANE smashed two hat-tricks in as many games over the festive period to prove his value to Tottenham.

But incredibly the in-form hitman ranks just 35th in the Premier League for pay despite being the top scorer.

In an age where home-grown players can command a premium, Spurs' rigid pay structure has limited Kane's earning opportunities.

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba leads the way on a whopping £290,000-a-week deal - more than DOUBLE the White Hart Lane striker.

And Romelu Lukaku, whose 10 league goals leave him eight behind Kane, nets a huge £250,000 per week.

But it is the likes of Luke Shaw, Joe Hart, Daniel Sturridge and Christian Benteke who the Spurs ace may well cast an envious eye at.

Kane, 24, could easily double his pay if he left White Hart Kane, with new Liverpool man Virgil van Dijk jumping to £180,000 after quitting Southampton.

But the local lad has so far stayed loyal despite interest from all over Europe.

Mauricio Pochettino has even gone as far to compare his star turn to Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

And chairman Daniel Levy is believed to be ready to smash the club's wage structure to fend off wealthier rivals.

But even with a mega-money new deal, the terms are unlikely to even come close to Messi and Ronaldo.
