West Ham star Joe Hart dropped by Hammers for London derby against Chelsea
Adrian replaces the England keeper between the sticks after impressing against Manchester City
JOE HART has been dropped by West Ham for the home clash against Chelsea.
Adrian replaces the England keeper between the sticks after impressing in the 2-1 defeat to Manchester City.
Hart was ineligible to face his parent club last weekend.
The former Shrewsbury stopper will have to take a place on bench after a series of unspectacular performances.
The 30-year-old has conceded 30 goals in 14 Premier League matches.
West Ham have lost four of their last six games, but produced a much better display at City.
It is a huge blow for Hart, coming just a few days after the World Cup draw was made for next summer’s finals in Russia.
The World Cup-winning keeper Gordon Banks has already raised concerns about Hart, suggesting Butland should be England’s No 1.
And Hart now has his work cut out just to regain his club place as a lack of game time will weaken Hart's position as the Three Lions first-choice keeper.
Everton’s Jordan Pickford and Southampton’s Fraser Forster are also vying for the number one spot.
