MANCHESTER UNITED star Romelu Lukaku is holding out for £1.5m-a-year to sign with a leading boot manufacturer.
The Belgian striker has been playing with plain black studs on this season, while he waits to pen a contract.
And Lukaku has been in talks with leading makes Nike, Adidas and Puma over a long-term deal.
An Old Trafford source said: "Romelu wants a hefty sum every year to sign with one of the top brands around.
"He believes the commercial landscape has changed for him since he made the summer move to the club.
"He has been alternating between Nike and Adidas for a good while now. He used blacked out Nike ones the other night.
"Talks have already begun with his representatives and their partners, but it is his decision at the end of the day."

Lukaku is understood to have been earning as little as £250,000-a-year on his previous boot terms.
United ace Paul Pogba earns around £3m every season on his ten-year contract with sport giants Adidas.
Lukaku joined the Red Devils from Everton for £75m, and has gone on to score 10 goals in 18 Premier League games.
