Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho reveals bizarre reason for Romelu Lukaku’s goalscoring drought
JOSE MOURINHO has found the boot of Romelu Lukaku's goalscoring problem - he needs a new footwear deal!
After a stunning start to his Old Trafford, scoring 11 in his first ten matches for the Red Devils, the Belgian appears to have lost his touch.
And his manager revealed what he believes is the solution to his 24-year-old striker's woes.
He said: "I think he needs a big contract with his boots because he doesn't have a contract with any brand.
"That's why he's playing in black boots."
One man making up for Lukaku's barren run over recent days in Ashley Young.
The veteran's deflected strike sealed the points over Brighton on Saturday, and he produced two stunners on Tuesday to help down his former side.

After a fine half-volleyed opener, he went one better as he curled home a free-kick into the top corner to leave his boss, and Twitter, stunned.
The 32-year-old appeared to be on his way out of Old Trafford earlier this year, but he has become one of the first names on Mourinho's team sheet this season.
And the Special One believes that Young is performing "better than ever" for his side.
He told Match of the Day: "Ashley Young trains at free-kicks and his conversion rate in training is good, so it was good he had the confidence to try it, after scoring the first goal.

And Mourinho is delighted to have have got nine important points on the board ahead of the crunch showdowns.
He added: "It's important we have three wins in a row, nine points in three matches is good, and away from home we lost against Chelsea, and drew with Liverpool, and lost to Huddersfield so we needed to win here, we did well."
