Why are Rangers playing Aberdeen twice in five days?

Why are Rangers playing Aberdeen twice in five days?
Rangers were initially scheduled to play Aberdeen at Ibrox on October 21 but the match was postponed as the Gers played in the Scottish League Cup semi-final that weekend.
That meant the game was rescheduled to this week, ahead of the match at Pittodrie at the weekend.
In an even more extraordinary coincidence, rivals Celtic will end up playing the same opponent three times in a row.
Brendan Rodgers men take on Motherwell away in their rearranged match on Wednesday before hosting Steve Robinson's side on Saturday.
And those two Scottish Premiership games come after the Bhoys won the Scottish League Cup with a 2-0 win over the Steelmen.
