Manchester United star Matteo Darmian wanted by Sevilla and Roma in £15million January deal
Defender has fallen down pecking order under Jose Mourinho and now has choice between Italy and Spain
SEVILLA will go head-to-head with Roma for Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian.
The full-back has struggled to hold down a regular place in the starting lineup and looks surplus to requirements at Old Trafford.
Roma looked to be in pole-position to take the Italian international back to his homeland in January on loan, with a view to a permanent summer deal.
The Serie A side signed Rick Karsdorp from Feyenoord in the summer, but have now lost him for the rest of the season to a cruciate ligament injury.
But SunSport have been told La Liga outfit Sevilla are prepared to match United’s £15million valuation.
Unlike Roma, the Spaniards are ready to take Darmian on a permanent move in January without the need for six month loan stint.
