The defender hit a bum note by taking matters into his own hands as finger-in-rear controversy rears its head again
FOOTBALL has been rocked by ANOTHER finger-in-bum attack on the pitch known as an 'oil check'.
This time the cheeky incident took place in Brazil following a number of similar wandering-hand moments in recent years.
Minnows Ponte Preta were 2-0 up against Vitoria in a relegation winner-takes-all battle last night.
But their centre-back Rodrigo took matters literally into his own hands by poking a digit up inside Vitoria opponent Rodrigo Tellez with just 20 minutes on the clock.
Rodrigo, who even grimaced at the force of his own thrust, was sent off, leaving Preta with ten men for the remainder of the match.
And his absence saw the team hit a bum note as they ended up losing 3-2, thus suffering relegation instead of Vitoria and making Rodrigo single-handedly responsible for a pitch invasion.
But even the angry fans will have a hard time trying to explain just why Rodrigo decided to go exploring early on in the match.
Just last month, the finger-in-bum controversy reared its head when Diego Perotti did it to Roma team-mate Stephan El Shaarawy after beating Chelsea in the Champions League.
