Qarabag translate Chelsea squad in their matchday programme… and it produces hilarious results
QARABAG had the bizarre idea to translate the names of the Chelsea players for their matchday programme... and got some hilarious results.
Gary Cahill, aka 'Heri Kehill', and 'Tibo Kurtua' - better known as Thibaut Courtois - are just two of the brilliant examples in the Blues squad.
One nostalgic fan on Twitter claimed the names reminded him of popular football video game Pro Evolution Soccer.
On twitter he uploaded the names of the squad alongside the caption: "Something very Pro Evo about the translations in the Qarabag programme."
Pro Evo don't have the rights to use the real names for teams and players so often have to compromise.
But they don't top the translations from the Azerbaijan side which also include 'Sesar Aspilikueta', 'Sesk Fabreqas' and 'Danni Drinkvater'.
Boss Antonio Conte opted for a strong side against the minnows despite winning 6-0 in the reverse fixture.
Eden Hazard, N'Golo Kante and Fabregas are all in the starting line-up knowing a win will fire them into the round of 16.

A draw would also suffice if Atletico Madrid fail to beat group leaders Roma.
Only two days ago Conte was quick to point out Chelsea's hectic fixture list but that hasn't prevented him from resting key names.
Chelsea face an intriguing clash against free-scoring Liverpool at the weekend and currently sit nine points behind league leaders Manchester City.
The Blues' trip to Azerbaijan is a 5,800 mile round trip whilst Liverpool only jetted to Spain on Tuesday.
