Barcelona director Robert Fernandez in Cologne to watch Antoine Griezmann in action during France’s friendly with Germany
Atletico Madrid striker came in 76th minute as replacement for two-goal hero Alexandra Lacazette in 2-2 draw
BARCELONA director Robert Fernandez was present for France's draw with Germany to watch summer target Antoine Griezmann, according to reports in Catalonia.
The Atletico Madrid striker, who is also wanted by Manchester United, is understood to have an agreement in principle to join the Catalans.
But he had to wait 76 minutes until Griezmann replaced the impressive Alexandre Lacazette.
Didier Deschamps started the Arsenal man alongside the returning Anthony Martial and Kylian Mbappe — with stunning results as he showed off his wealth of attacking talent.
Lacazette netted both goals in what he describes as his best night in a France shirt.
And he was helped by a majestic assist by United frontman Martial.
Barcelona are looking to revolutionise their starting line-up following the departure of Neymar — and Griezmann, 26, fits the bill as a long-term replacement.

Ousmane Dembele arrived in the summer, while Lionel Messi is still firing the goals in.
But there are concerns over the alarming dip in form Luis Suarez is currently suffering.
Griezmann had been expected to move to Old Trafford last summer, only to stay once Atletico's transfer ban was upheld by Fifa.
Despite his poor form in which has seen him score just twice in La Liga this season, he is still expected to leave the Spanish capital at the end of the campaign.
United and Barcelona are expected to fight it out for his signature.
