Romelu Lukaku makes Belgium history as he scores with abysmal first touch against Mexico
Manchester United striker not exactly famed for being able to control ball with maximum skill finally broke goalscoring drought in international friendly
ROMELU LUKAKU finally ended his barren spell in front of goal - by scoring with this abysmal first touch.
The Manchester United striker got his season off to a red-hot start by scoring 16 goals in his first 13 games for club and country.
But he had not found the back of the net since October 14 before he scored two to become Belgium's joint all-time leading goalscorer alongside Bernard Voorhoof and Paul Van Himst on 30 last night.
It was Lukaku's first goal - which restored their lead after Eden Hazard's opener - that drew a few laughs.
The 24-year-old found some space in the box and nudged in a cross using his thigh.
He even chased after the ball and even tripped himself up while appearing to think it would not trundle into the goal with enough force.
Some Twitter users joked Lukaku had scored using his privates - a sensitive area in more ways than one.

Replays showed the ball going in after it bounced off Lukaku just above the knee.
Andres Guardado scored Mexico's first after Hazard's opener.
Lukaku put Roberto Martinez's side back in front before Hirving Lozano equalised.
He then smashed in a fine volley to put the South American side ahead before Lukaku struck again in the 70th minute to restore parity and end the game 3-3.
Voorhoof set his mark between 1928 and 1940, while Van Himst reached the mark between 1960 and 1974.
Lukaku looks set to take the record to new heights and he could set his own standard in Tuesday's friendly with Japan in Brussels.
