Arsenal fans not happy with what Alexis Sanchez did after Manchester City defeat

ARSENAL fans are not happy with what Alexis Sanchez did after his side's defeat at the hands of Manchester City.

The Gunners had just been thumped 3-1 by Pep Guardiola's steamrolling attack at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Immediately after the loss, Sanchez walked over to former Arsenal team-mate and now-Man City coach Mikel Arteta and hugged him.

While it's hardly a shock Sanchez would greet an old friend with an embrace, Gunners fans were left infuriated.

Many believe the stunt is just the latest in a string of hints the Chile star will be joining City - either in January or in the summer.

Sanchez is out of contract in the summer and is yet to pen a fresh deal.

The Arsenal forward is now available to open pre-contract negotiations with clubs in January and could walk away from the club for nothing on July 1.

However, City boss Guardiola is reportedly tempted to spring a surprise and launch an audaciously low £20million bid to bring Sanchez to Manchesster six months early.

City had chased Sanchez all summer and thought they had landed their man before Arsene Wenger insisted on including Raheem Sterling in a swap deal.

However, Guardiola revealed the England winger would be going nowhere - a move that has already reaped great rewards, with Sterling in sublime form this season.
