JACK WILSHERE is ready for an England recall, according to Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger.
The midfielder has been a bit-part player for the Gunners this season, but when played, he has shown glimpses that he is getting back to his best.
The 25-year-old is set to feature for Arsenal in their home clash against Red Star Belgrade on Thursday with Wenger believing he is ready to resume his international career.
Speaking ahead of the Europa League clash, on the prospect of an England recall for Wilshere, Wenger said: “Yep. I think he’s ready, personally.
“He was not three weeks ago, he is today.
“I have the same problem, but in every single competition he is ready to play. I urge them to do it.
“A super fit Jack, I don’t know how to leave him out of the England squad.”
Wilshere has featured in only six games in all competitions this season for Arsenal, only one of those in the Premier League.

That was only 13 minutes appearing off the bench in the Gunners' 5-2 away win against Everton.
But Wenger insists Wilshere is at an optimum level, and trains the same as anyone else at the club.

The Gunners have cruised to three wins from three in Group E and already have a five-point cushion to second placed BATE.
They won a narrow battle in Belgrade, with Olivier Giroud's goal bringing the three points back to North London.
The visitors sit third and realistically need to avoid defeat to keep their challenge alive.
