Dejan Lovren hits out at ‘disgusting’ Instagram death threat against his family
Liverpool star posted a screenshot on his Instagram of a private message where the sender claimed he would 'murder' his family
STRUGGLING Liverpool star Dejan Lovren has hit out on social media after one user sent a "disgusting" message threatening to kill his family.
The Croatian was criticised heavily for his performance in the 4-1 defeat to Tottenham earlier this month.
And the 28-year-old has now posted a screenshot on his Instagram of a private message where the sender claimed he would "murder" his family.
The defender wrote "What horrible people we have" above the vile message, which read: "I'm gonna murder ur family u Croatian."
Lovren said: "I don't mind when people talk s*** about me, it says more about them!
"But I can not ignore when my family is threatened. I just can't and won't accept that. Disgusting."
Lovren was pulled off after just 31 minutes at Wembley after being at fault for two of Spurs' four goals.
He was due to face Huddersfield last Saturday but was ruled out with an injury during the warm up.

Kop boss Jurgen Klopp hit out at the media reaction to Lovren's performance.
He said: "You are the kind of people standing around with smartphones instead of helping, I'm not this kind of person."
"Of course it's not the nicest week in Dejan's life but it's only football.
"People don't become a better or a worse person through making a mistake in a football game."
Lovren — who moved to Anfield in a £20million deal from Southampton in 2014 — had to deactivate his Instagram account in 2015 due to similar abuse.
