Sam Allardyce admits he is interested in Everton and USA national team jobs
Former England chief who quit as Crystal Palace boss in May says he would "have to consider" the Toffees if they call him
SAM ALLARDYCE admits he is keen on bossing Everton or the USA.
SunSport revealed two days ago the struggling Toffees want former England chief Big Sam, who quit as Crystal Palace chief in May after helping them stay up.
And Allardyce told : “I’d have to consider that if that phone call happens.
“There’s no point speculating at the moment. David Unsworth is in the chair, Joe [Royle] sat upstairs will have an opinion [after the Leicester defeat] and from the Chelsea game.
“It’s really going to be tough for Everton to get out of that position.
“Not because the lads are not trying, but as a team collectively they can’t keep a clean sheet and can’t score a goal.
“Those are the two problems, if you resolve one, you’ll end up resolving the other and that will start with the clean sheet.”
Ex-Feyenoord and Southampton manager Ronald Koeman took Everton to a seventh place finish in his first season but flopped this term despite being given a club record transfer budget.

Toffees chairman Bill Kenwright wants a British replacement and Goodison director of football Steve Walsh is a long-term admirer of Allardyce.
In fact, Walsh’s dream ticket is thought to be Allardyce and sacked Leicester boss Craig Shakespeare.
But Everton owner Farhad Moshiri wants another foreign chief, although he would surely struggle to lure his preferred option, Carlo Ancelotti.
Allardyce, meanwhile,, also has one eye on another international job, after his England stint lasted just 67 days due to “inappropriate comments” and telling undercover reporters how to “get around player transfer rules”.
Asked if he would like to succeed axed US coach Jurgen Klinsmann, Allardyce said: “I think I would be interested in talking to them if I had the opportunity.
“It’s a fantastic country and it’s been trying to make football more and more successful every year.
“And obviously the big teams have been going there for a long time now on pre-season friendlies and big tournaments so the fan base is getting bigger and the interest is getting greater.
“So it would interest me, yes.”
The USA might seem an attractive rebuilding job for Allardyce after they failed to qualify for next year’s World Cup finals.
But Everton might be a safer choice, as he would expect a handsome salary and a bonus if he keeps the third-bottom side in the Premier League.
