MICHAEL CARRICK has been sidelined since feeling dizzy after his last match nearly EIGHT weeks ago.

Manchester United’s medical chief Steve McNally tried to get to the bottom of the problem following Carrick’s appearance against Burton — his only match of the season.

It is not known when Carrick will return to first-team action. Mourinho insisted the ex-Tottenham midfielder had a big role to play this season but has been frustrated that he has only featured for 90 minutes against Burton.

England boss Gareth Southgate also rates Carrick highly but he wanted to look to the future and has since picked Spurs’ Harry Winks, 21.
