CRISTIANO RONALDO showed his caring nature as he met the parents of a child killed in the Mexico City earthquake last month.
The 32-year-old has welcomed the family of six-year-old Santiago Flores Mora to Madrid, after his mother wrote to the Real Madrid star of how her son idolised the forward.
He said: "For my number 1 fan, Santiago, with much affection."
And added alongside the picture: "In this moment of pain I send love to the family of Santiago and to all the families that have lost their loved ones, a huge hug."
But the ex-Manchester United star went a step further as he met with Santiago's family in Spain.
Travelling with Santiago's ashes to the Spanish capital, Ronaldo posed for photos with the family, and gifted them with a signed Madrid ball and shirt.
Fernando Flores, the father of the young child, echoed statements that it was his son's dream to meet the footballer.
