"Outside the top six your results are going to fluctuate, you’re going to have real lows and real highs and that’s the way it is.
"It’s very rare that you have a whole season in calm waters and it’s how you react to those highs and lows that determine where you end up."
According to the results of our poll, 85 per cent of voters believe Pulis, 59, to be "tactically naive".
One fan, Stuart, wrote: "I backed Pulis and tried to see positives in things that he did but we have had too many false dawns.
"We hardly even try to attack anymore and we have our best squad for nearly 40 years.
"Pulis was the right man for the job in January 2015 and has sorted out the mess he inherited for which we are grateful, but he can't seem to move things on."
Baggies supporter Alex added: "His tactics are outdated in the modern game."
